Michael and I had the good fortune of finding Lucy, then a 4 week old baby, one day south of Atlanta in the parking lot of an antique mall where we were scavenging. She was with her mother but was starving because her mother had no milk. Lucy was trying to chew on a dried up bagle but with 4 week old teeth, this was almost impossible.

She was anemic from all the flea bites and the vet said she wouldn't live throught the night. We took her home and I stayed up with her snuggled on my chest all night watching an I Love Lucy marathon. Obviously, I named her after my favorite comedian, Lucille Ball.

Although she fit in the palm of my hand she had a strong will to live, she ate anything I put in front of her - teeth or no teeth. She has been with Michael and I now for over 10 years and is the LOVE of our lives.

And as you will see if you come in to our store, she never leaves the house without her pearls, as any well dressed lady should.
